Audacity - LAME

Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. However, it doesn't come with the LAME MP3 encoder as standard so you cannot export projects in MP3 format as standard.

Audacity doesn't come with LAME because of software patent issues, however, it openly links to LAME downloads, this just confuses users I find, and I spent the best part of an hour trying to help a 12 year old PC user export an MP3 file.

So, after many failed attempts at trying to get this kid to setup Audacity to work with LAME I gave up and wrote this installer instead.

Using NSIS it uses the stripped down old install GUI and installs the LAME MP3 encoder and also configures Audacity so it can see the encoder, all within a couple of clicks on an installer.
